Introducing…

Introducing Singer, Actor, Voice and Performance Coach – Carolyn T

Carolyn has been been an inspired singer since she was 14 years old. She would race home from school, put on a Whitney Houston record and write out all the lyrics one line at a time, and teach herself to sing the entire album, from beginning to end, before the rest of the family came home.
For over 25 years Carolyn has been singing Jazz, Soul, R&B and Funk in front of audiences big and small. Some of her musical influences are Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Jamiroquai, Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin, Michael McDonald and Whitney Houston.
Carolyn is known to wear a few hats. She has a very active and successful career running her own band in the corporate and wedding scene, she is a studio session singer, she sings backups for other bands, she is an actor who recently appeared as a supporting role in the TV series “Handsome Devils”, and she is a busy Voice and Performance Coach who loves to teach singing and public speaking to students of all ages through private sessions, master classes and workshops.
Most people know Carolyn as the host/creator of the very popular Open Jam Night @ Harlem 2009 – 2012
As a talented, powerhouse vocalist with a soulful vocal style, combined with passion, graciousness, presence and diligence, Carolyn’s versatility, intelligence and tenaciousness, makes her stand out amongst the brightest stars of Toronto’s Music scene!
