🎭 Vocal Spark Workshops

Looking for a way to build confidence and performance skills in a space that feels supportive, human, and real? Vocal Spark is a series of group workshops for people who want to explore and strengthen their voice — including singers, speakers, actors, spoken word artists, comedians, storytellers, presenters, and performers of all kinds.

These workshops are beginner-friendly and open to all experience levels. Whether you’re just starting out, returning after time away, or actively performing, you’re welcome here. Vocal Spark is about practicing, performing, experimenting, and growing in a grounded environment — without comparison or pressure.

✨ What is Vocal Spark?

Vocal Spark was created because private lessons alone don’t always translate into real-world confidence. Many students feel stronger and more capable in one-on-one sessions, but hesitate when it comes time to actually use their voice in front of others. Skills improve, confidence grows — and then fear takes over when the situation feels public or unfamiliar.

These workshops exist to bridge that gap. Vocal Spark offers real-life performance scenarios where you can apply what you’ve learned, practice showing up, and discover that you’re not alone in feeling nervous. It’s a place to experiment, make mistakes, and learn that nothing terrible happens when things aren’t perfect. The goal isn’t flawless performance — it’s building trust in yourself and your voice through shared experience.

🔀 Ways to Work Within Vocal Spark

Vocal Spark currently offers two distinct workshop formats. Both are beginner-friendly and designed to help you apply your voice skills in real-world situations. The difference isn’t about experience level — it’s about how visible you want to be and what kind of challenge feels supportive right now.

🎬 Performance Lab

Performance Lab is a monthly, small-group workshop focused on practice and application. It’s designed for people who want a low-pressure space to try things out, work on material, and get used to using their voice in front of others.

This is a working environment, not a showcase. You’ll experiment, repeat, and learn through doing — with coaching and group support along the way. Performance Lab is especially helpful if you want to build confidence gradually and get comfortable applying your skills outside of private lessons. Performance Lab is a place to practice being seen without the pressure of a “performance moment.”

🎓 MasterClass

MasterClass is a seasonal, performance-focused workshop designed as a recital-style experience. Performers prepare and present work in front of a larger group and receive live coaching, while observers learn by watching, listening, and engaging with the process.

For singers, live accompaniment is part of the experience. MasterClass offers a more intentional performance container and is ideal if you’re ready to step into being seen and heard in a structured setting — with support. MasterClass is about stepping into a clear performance moment — with support — and experiencing what it feels like to be witnessed.

Some people start with Performance Lab to build comfort and confidence, then choose MasterClass when they’re ready for a bigger container. Others know they want the MasterClass experience right away. Both paths are valid.

🌱 Who Vocal Spark is For

Vocal Spark is for anyone who wants to grow their confidence using their voice in front of others, at any level of experience.

Some participants are beginners. Others are experienced performers. You don’t need previous experience with me or with these workshops to take part. What matters most is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to engage with the process.

🎯 What Participation Looks Like

Vocal Spark is an active workshop. Participants are expected to prepare something to perform or present and to share that work during the session.

This doesn’t mean being polished or perfect. It means choosing material you’re willing to work with in front of others and showing up ready to participate. The workshops are designed to support you through that process, but participation is a core part of the experience.

🔗 How It Fits With Private Coaching

Vocal Spark exists because knowing something in a lesson doesn’t always mean you can use it under pressure.

Private coaching is where we build understanding. It’s where you learn the logic of performing, develop skills, and work through obstacles in a focused, one-on-one setting. Vocal Spark is where those ideas get tested. It gives you a chance to experience what happens when you use your voice in front of others and find out — in real time — what actually holds up.

Some people come to Vocal Spark alongside private lessons to apply what they’re learning. Others use Vocal Spark on its own as a way to gain experience, confidence, and perspective through doing. Either way, Vocal Spark provides the missing step between knowing what to do and trusting yourself to do it.
