Vocal Legacy Membership

Membership Eligibility

The Vocal Legacy Membership is available exclusively to individuals personally invited by Sensei Carolyn. Membership is non-transferable.

Payment Terms

Membership fees are billed either annually ($497) or monthly ($49). Payments are non-refundable for any completed billing period.

Early Access Disclaimer

As this course is 80% complete, some lessons may initially lack certain materials, such as videos, audio guides, or quizzes. These will be added over time.

Feedback Participation

Members agree to provide constructive feedback through surveys and, when possible, participate in Zoom discussions. Feedback is voluntary but strongly encouraged.

Cancellation Policy

Members can cancel their membership at any time. Upon cancellation, access to the course and community will be revoked at the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual Property

All course materials, including videos, PDFs, and other resources, are the intellectual property of Vocal Euphoria and may not be shared, distributed, or reproduced without explicit permission.

Membership Termination

Vocal Euphoria reserves the right to terminate memberships for misuse, including sharing login credentials or violating community guidelines.

Course Updates

As a Legacy Member, you’ll receive all course updates and new materials at no additional cost during your active membership.

Privacy

Your personal information will be used solely for course-related purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

This course is built upon a proprietary teaching method developed by the instructor over decades of professional performance and vocal coaching experience. The methodology employed in this course may differ from conventional approaches and incorporates unorthodox techniques proven effective for real-world singing scenarios.

Rather than adhering to traditional exercises or a focus on perfection, this course emphasizes practical strategies aimed at helping participants:

Build confidence in their singing abilities.

Embrace and appreciate their own unique vocal qualities, including imperfections.

Deliver their best possible performance, whether or not in front of an audience.

Certain technical concepts, such as breath control, are integrated into the exercises organically but are not emphasized as standalone topics. This intentional approach is designed to maintain focus on the broader goals of expressive, confident singing without unnecessary distractions.

However, individual results will vary and are contingent upon each participant’s personal effort, practice, and dedication. Vocal Edge Portal

Welcome to Vocal Edge, one of the many services provided by Sensei Carolyn through Vocal Euphoria. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services. By purchasing and submitting performance videos for feedback, users agree to comply with these terms.

Single Video Policy

• The purchase of a single video feedback session allows for one submission only. A resubmission may be permitted in cases of critical technical issues (e.g., the video cannot be viewed or the audio is distorted). However, the resubmission must be for the same performance, and no additional time beyond the original validity period will be granted.

Bundle Validity and Submission Rules

• Bundle Validity: Each submission bundle has a specific validity period (1 month for a single video, 3 months for a 3-video bundle, and 5 months for a 5-video bundle). All submissions must be completed within the specified timeframe. No extensions will be granted for resubmissions due to technical errors with the original upload.

Feedback Videos

• All feedback videos are created in real time, without any pre-review of the submitted content. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the video quality (both audio and visual) meets the provided guidelines. Any issues that arise due to poor video quality may require a resubmission, but no additional time will be granted.

Technical Issues

• Responsibility for Link Creation: Users are responsible for creating a shareable link to their video that is accessible. Unfortunately, individual technical support cannot be provided for issues related to creating or sharing links. If assistance is needed, users are encouraged to look up a YouTube tutorial or seek help from a friend.

Refund Policy

• No Refunds for Dissatisfaction: Refunds will not be provided if the user is dissatisfied with the feedback provided or if they are unable to submit their video within the validity period.
• Refunds for Service Issues: If Sensei Carolyn is unable to provide feedback due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., personal emergencies or technical issues), a partial or full refund will be offered based on the situation.

General Disclaimer

• Video Quality: The quality of the feedback provided depends heavily on the quality of the submitted video. Users are responsible for understanding these terms and ensuring the video quality meets the required standards prior to submission. Users should ensure that their submission has clear audio and video to receive the most effective feedback.
• Honest and Respectful Feedback: All feedback will be honest and respectful. Vocal Edge does not believe in discouraging anyone from wanting to sing; however, if a technique or approach is not effective, constructive guidance will be provided along with a suggested improvement.
• No Guarantees: The feedback provided is a professional opinion based solely on Sensei Carolyn’s years of experience as a Singer, Performer, and Voice Coach. While every effort is made to help users improve, no specific outcomes are guaranteed.

User Conduct

• Respectful Behavior: Users are expected to engage with Vocal Edge services respectfully. Any behavior deemed abusive or inappropriate may result in the termination of access to services without refund.
• Compliance: Users must comply with all guidelines and instructions provided for submissions and follow all applicable laws in their interactions with Vocal Edge.

Consequences for Breach of Terms

• Termination of Services: Any violation of these Terms and Conditions may result in the immediate termination of access to Vocal Edge services, without any refund.
• Legal Action: Vocal Euphoria and Sensei Carolyn reserve the right to pursue legal action for any breach of these terms, particularly regarding unauthorized sharing of content, non-compliance with video submission guidelines, or other misuse of services. Users will also be liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized distribution.

Public Sharing

• Permission for Public Sharing: Any feedback video or submission may not be publicly shared, including on social media, without the explicit permission of both Sensei Carolyn and the user. This ensures privacy and respect for both parties.
• Video Release Form: In the event that either party wishes to share a feedback video publicly, both parties must agree to and sign a Video Release Form. This form will outline the terms of sharing and ensure consent from both Sensei Carolyn and the user.
• Consequences for Unauthorized Sharing: If a user shares any feedback video or content without permission, Sensei Carolyn reserves the right to terminate access to Vocal Edge services and pursue legal action if necessary. Users will also be liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized distribution.

Private Lessons

Please read the following terms of service carefully. By booking and participating in lessons and workshops, you agree to adhere to these policies to ensure a productive and respectful learning environment.

Cancellation Policy

• 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private lesson. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will lose that session.
• To cancel or reschedule, use the link in your booking confirmation or reminder email, click CANCEL/RESCHEDULE, and follow the instructions.

Online Lessons

• Environment:
  • Find a private, quiet, and well-lit space where you can sit and stand comfortably.
• Stability:
  • Keep your webcam in one place; do not hold your laptop, iPad, etc.
• Minimize Distractions:
  • Test your webcam, sound, and microphone prior to the session.
  • Inform others in your household not to disturb you during the session.
  • No spectators on or off camera.
• Zoom Settings:
  • To minimize audio glitches and delays, enable “Original Sound” in Zoom. Instructions for desktop and mobile apps can be found here. (This change is helpful but not mandatory.)

In-Person Lessons

• Location:
  • This is a private residence at Woodbine Ave and Mortimer Ave, just north of the Danforth in East York. Detailed location information will be shared once your booking is confirmed.
  • 10-minute walk from Woodbine Subway Station.
  • Closest buses: 62, 91, and 93.
  • Free street parking is available.
• Arrival:
  • There is no waiting area. Students are booked back-to-back, so please arrive on time. If you are early, please come to the door only at your scheduled time.
• Minors:
  • Students 17 and under must be accompanied by one parent or guardian on their first visit.
  • We can sit down and chat for a few minutes until your child is comfortable to proceed.
  • If your child is not comfortable, you may stay, but note that one-on-one lessons with children are more effective without distractions.
• No Spectators:
  • Do not bring friends or family to watch or hang out. They can wait in their vehicles or go for a walk.
  • Students who are parents, please do not bring your children to the session. If you cannot find a babysitter, please reschedule.

Package Rules

1. Packages must be prepaid in one payment.
2. All sessions in a package must be scheduled before the booking deadline.
3. If you cancel a session for any reason, a make-up session must be scheduled before the booking deadline, or you will lose that session; additional fees will apply.
4. Do not reschedule your package sessions outside of the booking deadline, or additional fees will apply.
5. If all sessions are not completed within the time frame, the package reverts to a pay-as-you-go rate of $95 per lesson, and a remaining balance fee will apply.
6. 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the session will be forfeited.
7. Double bookings are allowed but it is recommended to leave at least one day between sessions for homework and vocal rest.
8. Applicable taxes (13% HST) will be applied at checkout.
9. All fees are subject to change without notice.
10. Fees are non-negotiable, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

Attendance & Participation

• Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial for the success of the workshop. Please notify the instructor in advance if you or your child will miss a session. There are no make-up sessions for missed classes.
• Participation: Active participation is encouraged in every session. This workshop is a safe space for learning, personal growth, and artistic expression. Everyone is expected to engage fully and support their peers.
• Homework: Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to each session. Recording devices are allowed for personal use during the workshop. Homework, such as practice recordings and lyrics, will be sent via email. Please review and practice these materials before the next session to ensure continuous progress.

Behavior & Conduct

• Supportive Environment: Respect and encouragement are core values of this workshop. Disruptive behavior, bullying, or any form of disrespect will not be tolerated. All participants are expected to contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Parent Conduct: Parents, guardians, and friends are asked to wait outside the sanctuary during the Kids Glee Choir & Conquer Karaoke sessions. Please respect the learning space and the focus required for the workshop.
• Supervision: Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that their child arrives on time and is picked up promptly after the session. The instructor is not responsible for supervising children before or after the designated workshop times.

Workshop-Specific Rules

Kids Glee Choir & Conquer Karaoke Rules

• Photos & Media: Photos will be taken during the workshop sessions and may be used for promotional purposes. Please ensure you fill out and submit the permission form as soon as possible.
• Behavior: All children are expected to follow the instructor’s guidance and participate in a respectful and positive manner. Disruptions may result in the child being asked to sit out of the session or, in extreme cases, to leave the workshop.
• Parent Involvement: Parents are welcome to support their child’s musical journey by encouraging practice at home. However, all directions and feedback during the sessions should come from the instructor to maintain a consistent learning experience.

Adult Glee Choir Rules

• Behavior: Participants are expected to maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere. This is a collaborative workshop, and each member’s contribution is valuable.
• Commitment: Consistent attendance and participation are key to the success of the choir. If you have to miss a session, please inform the instructor in advance.

Photography & Media Consent

• Kids Glee Choir & Conquer Karaoke: Photos and videos will be taken during sessions and may be used for promotional purposes. Parents or guardians must complete and submit the media consent form to allow their child to be photographed or filmed.
• Adult Glee Choir: Photos and videos may also be taken during the Adult Glee Choir sessions for promotional use. By participating in the workshop, you consent to being photographed or filmed unless you opt out by notifying the instructor in writing.

Cancellation Policy

• No Refunds: All fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-negotiable. Once you have registered and paid for the workshop, the commitment is final, and no refunds will be issued for any reason, including missed sessions.
• Instructor Cancellations: In the rare event that a session is canceled by the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a refund for the missed session. You will be notified of any changes to the schedule as soon as possible.
• Participant Cancellations: If you are unable to attend a session, please notify the instructor in advance. However, missed sessions cannot be made up or refunded.
• Emergency Situations: In the case of an emergency where the entire workshop must be canceled (e.g., due to severe weather, health advisories), you will be offered a credit towards a future workshop or session.

eGift Certificates

1. Recipient Notification

The recipient must be aware of the eGift Certificate in advance to avoid delivery issues. Anonymous gifts cannot be processed, as they can lead to confusion or rejection of the gift. The purchaser will be cc’d on all delivery emails for transparency.

2. Delivery Timeline

• Standard Delivery: eGift Certificates are delivered via email within 3 to 5 business days of form submission.
• Expedited Delivery: eGift Certificates are delivered via email within 1 to 3 business days for an additional fee of $25 CAD.
• Priority Delivery: eGift Certificates are delivered via email within 24 hours (same day) for an additional fee of $35 CAD.
• Rush Delivery Availability: Rush delivery is subject to availability and must be confirmed in advance by emailing carolyn@vocaleuphoria.com with the subject line: Rush eGift.

3. Accuracy of Information

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that all information provided in the form is accurate, including:

• The recipient’s name (as it will appear on the certificate).
• The recipient’s email address.
• The purchaser’s contact details for confirmation purposes.

Errors in the provided information may delay processing or delivery.

4. Refund Policy

eGift Certificate requests are final and non-refundable. No exchanges or cash redemption.

5. Delivery Confirmation

The purchaser will be cc’d on all delivery emails. If the purchaser chooses to deliver the eGift Certificate personally, they must indicate this in the form.

6. Customization

• If no custom message is provided, the purchaser’s name will appear as the default gift giver.
• Requests for specific design styles (e.g., festive, elegant, playful) will be accommodated wherever possible but are not guaranteed.

7. Email Delivery

The eGift Certificate will be sent to the recipient via email. The purchaser is encouraged to notify the recipient to check their inbox and spam/junk folder if the email is not immediately visible.

8. Payment and Submission

The purchaser must submit a unique payment code provided at checkout to validate the purchase. eGift Certificates will not be processed without a valid code.

9. Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

Lessons booked using an eGift Certificate must be rescheduled or canceled at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in the session being forfeited.

10. Changes to Recipient Details

Changes to the recipient’s name or email address must be requested before the eGift Certificate is sent. Once the certificate has been delivered, it is non-transferable and cannot be reassigned to another person.

11. Disputes

Any disputes regarding the eGift Certificate must be reported within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date. Contact carolyn@vocaleuphoria.com for assistance.
